HCLTech and IBM have announced a new partnership to establish a generative AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) leveraging IBM’s WatsonX AI and data platform. The initiative aims to train 10,000 engineers and architects from HCLTech in IBM’s innovative AI technologies, specifically WatsonX.
The CoE will operate through HCLTech’s AI and Cloud Native Labs located in Noida, London, New Jersey, and Santa Clara, USA. It will empower enterprises to modernize legacy applications, develop IT service management (ITSM) use cases, simplify coding processes, and enhance skills development on the IBM WatsonX platform.
This expansion of our collaboration with IBM will accelerate our exploration of AI’s potential, enabling us to deliver distinctive HCLTech solutions using cutting-edge IBM technology. We intend to integrate WatsonX into HCLTech’s AI Force, enhancing our capabilities with GenAI-powered solutions to support code modernization,” said Alan Flower, EVP, Global Head of AI & Cloud Native Labs at HCLTech.
The partnership underscores HCLTech’s commitment to driving innovation through AI, leveraging IBM’s advanced capabilities to deliver transformative solutions. By integrating WatsonX into its AI strategy, HCLTech aims to strengthen its offerings and deliver enhanced value to its global clientele.
