Pure Storage is enhancing its capabilities in AI and security with a series of new announcements. Among these is the introduction of Evergreen//One, touted as the industry’s first purpose-built AI storage-as-a-service offering. This new service guarantees high levels of storage performance specifically tailored for AI workloads, including GPU-intensive tasks in training, inferencing, and high-performance computing.
To support Evergreen//One, Pure Storage has integrated its Fusion infrastructure-as-code service into the Purity operating environment. This integration automates orchestration and workload placement, optimizing storage pools dynamically across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Another significant advancement is the introduction of a storage-oriented AI “copilot,” designed to manage and safeguard data using natural language processing. This AI tool leverages telemetry and insights gleaned from Pure Storage’s customer base to assist storage teams in optimizing performance and management efficiently.
In terms of security, Pure Storage has bolstered its ransomware detection capabilities with enhanced anomaly detection powered by AI. This technology detects potential threats such as ransomware attacks, unusual activities, malicious behaviors, and denial-of-service attempts by analyzing performance anomalies. The system employs multiple machine-learning models trained on historical data to identify deviations from normal operational patterns and mitigate risks proactively.
Additionally, Pure Storage is rolling out several enhancements to its service-level agreements (SLAs). These include expanding its Enhanced Cyber Recovery and Resilience SLA to encompass comprehensive disaster recovery scenarios. Customers will receive tailored recovery plans that incorporate new storage infrastructure, on-site installation services, and additional professional support for seamless data transfer.
Furthermore, Pure Storage is introducing a new security assessment service that provides insights into fleet-level security risks. This assessment offers recommendations aligned with NIST 2.0 standards and advises on mitigating potential security vulnerabilities, ensuring robust protection and rapid restoration of operations in case of security incidents.
These initiatives underscore Pure Storage’s commitment to advancing AI-driven storage solutions and fortifying data security measures to meet the evolving needs of enterprise customers.
