I saw an opportunity to do something different.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, and the lessons I learned growing up in a family business, I set out to build a firm rooted in proactive planning, clear education, and long-term strategy. Heritage Advisory & Tax is more than just tax expertise — it’s about guiding individuals and business owners to make smart financial decisions, minimize liabilities, and move forward confidently.

One piece of advice I consistently give business-owner clients is simple but transformative: don’t wait until tax season to talk to your accountant. By the time tax season arrives, most opportunities for meaningful savings have already passed, and you’re left reacting instead of planning.
Real impact comes from engaging throughout the year. When we connect in July, October, and January, we have the ability to adjust compensation, refine entity structure, plan for major purchases, and forecast liabilities with enough time to act strategically. These early conversations allow us to identify tax-saving opportunities, prevent avoidable surprises, and ensure decisions are aligned with both short-term needs and long-term goals.
